Service Description
Anglesey and North Wales offer world class sea kayaking lying on the Western shores of the UK. A coastline with impressive headlands fast flowing tidal streams which create tidal races, surf beaches and isolated islands teeming with wildlife in the summer months. This week explores the classic sea kayaking venues of Anglesey and North Wales and is assured to be an unforgettable experience. We will share 5 days at different venues according to conditions. Some examples may include: The west coast of Holy Island Penryn Mawr South Stack North Stack Offering three very different tidal races in one day, towering cliffs, sea stacks, caves and lots of surfable waves. The Skerries Leaving from Cemlyn on the ebbing tide, we will pass Harry Furlough rocks and tide race, the three mile paddle to the rock island has all the elements of an Anglesey Adventure. On the way back via Carmel Head, we will enjoy more tide races, rock gardening. Menai Straits Between its Historic bridges, we have 'The Swellies', with 8 knots of tide on Springs, eddy lines and surfable standing waves. The Straits provides a real fun, dynamic sea environment that feels like a friendly white water rapid! Bardsey Island Another off shore island surrounded by fast flowing tidal streams, its rich in Celtic History and offers isolation and a great committing paddle.
